HI Everyone,
It has been an unbelievable thrill moving to Israel, and opening Kosher Cakery. But I would have to admit that trying to figure out how to balance my time is definitely a challenge. I landed running, and haven’t stopped. People are always telling me to prioritize! However I have not figured out how to prioritize when EVERYTHING right now seems to be a priority.I must go to Ulpan so that I can speak the language of the country that I live in, to be able to talk to suppliers, have a conversation with people I meet… Ulpan is every day,- 5 hours a day- and I walk or take a bus; it’s time consuming. My next priority is taking a small business class offered by MATI to help small business owners get started and learn how to run a small business; it is kind of like getting a crash course in business, in 16 weeks! We meet at night in Jerusalem, and the travel time is about 2 hours. I don’t have a landline yet and my bank stuff is still waiting for the right time … Shopping. Shopping in itself is an experience. I currently have found 2 places that I buy cake ingredients from that carry the best quality and highest level of hashgacha. Boxes, I need more boxes. I brought some with me but, Baruch Ha’shem I have almost run out. I will be venturing to Tel Aviv to find suppliers soon, – OMG I need Hebrew for that! If you know of a great box supplier let me know! And finally running Kosher Cakery, -baking the cakes, decorating them (which is my favorite time spent -since I put my heart into each cake- That is what I LOVE about this business). So if you are one of those people who think balancing all that needs to get done is a challenge well then-let’s sit down with a cup of tea and a piece of cake and make a plan together, because I have time for that!
