We made it. Here we are. Kosher Cakery officially has a home of it’s own. And we officially opened our doors.
Marking this day down in my journal, if you don’t mind. This is big stuff. Big major stuff. Before we actually get to chatting about the day, let me just fill you in on a little bit of what has lead up to this.
So many technical details. So. Many. I would have never in a million years imagined. Setting up the store, tables and chairs. And then you realize a shelf is missing. And we need curtains. And paint the place (pink of course!). And and and. The list goes on, it seems to never end.
It’s kind of like raising children. You need to be “on” all day long, no choice to stop really. That’s what it’s like opening a bakery, for all of you out there that have been wondering. Don’t stop, and it will all get done.
But friends, after all the craziness, lack of sleep and maybe a little stress, it’s been wonderful. A dream come true. I have hoped this would happen one day. Quite honestly though, I have doubted it. Will I be able to do it? Will the business grow enough? Cuz um, it’s a big deal.
And we did it!And as we speak we are having a grand opening, right here at Kosher Cakery, Sheinfeld Shopping Center in Bet Shemesh. Please stop by if you’re around!
Loads of cookies and cupcakes are waiting for you. Loads. They were bakes with so much love and excitement, just fyi.
We’re loving the thrill in the air, it’s contagious. Never too much pink and sugar, if you ask me, so we should all be perfectly fine.
Check back in later in the week for some more pictures! And then hopefully, we’ll be back on track with regular routine.
