Hi Everyone,
We spoke about the fact that summer is here and oy boy, are we feeling the heat. Aside from our new products, we also added what some may say is the most important thing for our store to have – ice coffee. I know, many of us drink hot coffee day in day it. Be it hot or cold. But there’s no denying that a good blended ice coffee is an absolute summer necessity.
If you’re in the area – do yourself a favor and come get some.
What if you’re not in the area? Or lets face it – do.not.want.to.go.out.in.the.heat. That’s understandable. We do not judge you even a tiny tiny bit. Because why go anywhere if you can make an ice coffee at HOME, in your kitchen? And even add some whipped cream on top and feel super fancy?
We get it. That’s why we bring to you today – homemade ice coffee. Delicious. Refreshing. Easy. Actually, this is a Mocha, with some added cocoa. Because we all need chocolate.
The method used here is pretty cool. To get that creamy, icy blended texture for your perfect-hot-day-ice-coffee, what you essentialy will be doing is crushing ice. Let us explain –
First step is making the ice coffee mixture.
Then, you freeze it in an ice cube tray. So you have little ice coffee blend ice cubes.
Then, you blend them in your blender.
This results in creamy, icy ice coffee just like you want.
Here’s how:
Yields: 2 servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 Ttbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp instant coffee
- pinch salt (important)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
1. Mix all ingredients together in a cup (preferably a measuring cup with a spout so you can easily pour)
2. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray
3. once frozen, pop out the ice cubes and place in a blender. Blend on high speed.
And – enjoy =)
